Parenting time, just as with child custody is determined based on the what the court deems to be in the best interest of the child. A child’s best interest under normal circumstances is presumed to be one that preserves a strong relationship between the child and both parents. Consequently, the non-custodial parent would be granted parenting time that would ensure strong relational bonds between that parent and child/children. Nevertheless, there are instances where parenting times can be modified or denied to a parent.
